"Ona Sea Otter and baby Orlee"
Did you know Mama Sea Otters wrap their babies in kelp while they go forage for food! In this all day class you will learn to needle felt both Mama Ona and baby Orlee using roving wool, specialized felting needles and cotton wrapped wire armatures. Ona stands a little over 5 inches and is semi posable. This allows her to hold Orlee easily. Adding horse hair whiskers to Mama and black glass eyes to both bring these sweet faced animals to life! This is an intermediate class. Some prior needle felting experience would be most helpful! Ona and Orlee are part of my endangered species series. There are around 3000 Sea Otters left in CA.

The class includes all materials and will be limited to a small group of seven!
Ages 15+
Please feel free to bring a snack or sack lunch and drink along for an afternoon break. I will also provide snacks, coffee and tea along with plenty of fun filled whimsy!
